May 2023 release notes
This month we’ve made a number of product improvements with customers like you in mind. Here’s a recap on everything we launched in May!
Large
Software catalog: Infrastructure 🧱
You can now pull all of your infrastructure resources from across AWS accounts into OpsLevel—giving you complete context into where your resources live and which services rely on them.
Answer things like:
- Which services and systems rely on which infra resources?
- How many databases do I have running in a particular region?
- Where’s the endpoint for this service?
- Are any of my databases publicly available?

Service Detection via alert sources 🚨
We now detect services from PagerDuty, Datadog, and OpsGenie. With this update, you can build and maintain a full-fledged software catalog by pulling in metadata from several tools you already use.
If a service is recommended from more than one source, you’ll now see multiple logos in the “Detected from” column. Expand the row with the + icon to see where we found each service and determine which metadata you want to add to your catalog. Read the docs here.
Small
Set your services’ systems via opsLevel.yaml 📍
You can now add the `system` field to your opslevel.yml service configuration as part of your config-as-code approach. See the updated schema here.
Manage service dependencies from Terraform or the OpsLevel CLI 🤝🏽
We’ve introduced more flexible ways to maintain the dependencies between your services programmatically, using our Terraform and CLI tools. Read the Terraform resource definition here.
