The OpsLevel brand got a glow-up.
Last week we had a hackday to address small pain points in our product. Here's how we did it, and what we accomplished.
Our business is growing. Fiscal Q1 is almost wrapped, and it’s been a doozy: after closing our Series A our revenue is growing quickly, and we’ve been able to bring on a ton of new awesome customers–like OpenTable, BigPanda, Fastly, Adobe, and more.
Over the last week, the team at OpsLevel completed its largest HackDay ever. OpsLevelers demoed 15 different projects, spanning everything from our infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to our Applicant Tracking System and assets for acquiring and onboarding customers. Even our CEO carved out time to write some code–though he admitted his UI was lacking.
Last summer, our team gathered in the woodland heart of Parry Sound, Ontario for the inaugural OpsLevel HackDay. For 24 hours, participants were given total creative freedom while being tasked with creating a demo-able, team-based project. Skills were sharpened, bonds were strengthened, and marshmallows were roasted - it was a blast.
OpsLevel just completed its inaugural HackDays and company getaway. We all piled into a few cars and drove up to a beautiful cottage near Parry Sound, Ontario. Surrounded by some of Canada’s best scenery of trees, lakes, and trails, we first set about for 24 hours of programming. Given our geography, we thought about calling the event “Hack the North”, but that name is taken, so “OpsLevel HackDays” it is.
A modern software catalog must be automatically kept up-to-date to reduce the burden on developers and build trust. The OpsLevel Catalog Engine is an always-on way to create and maintain an accurate catalog rich with metadata. Read on to learn more.
